Lauren’s Story

I experienced foot drop after I had a traumatic childbirth injury due to certain medical decisions that were made during labor. It resulted in neurological damage that made it extremely painful and difficult to lift my feet and walk for months. Thankfully my baby was ok, but unfortunately I went undiagnosed for 1.5 years.

Anna’s Story

My name is Anna and I am 19 years old. I have been living with foot drop for ten years. On the 20th June 2013 aged 9, I broke my right femur badly in a freak accident at school. I had a very slow recovery and during my physiotherapy appointments it was clear that I had foot drop.

Lisa’s Story

My name is Lisa and I am 45 years old and having been living with foot drop since December 26th, 2020. What I wish others to take from my story and the stories of my fellow foot droppers is that we have all ended up her by various causes-but we are still here. We still hold value, we are still laughing, loving and living our lives.

And now every day of my life , I am just happy that I have those funky braces and still can work and enjoy my life to the fullest.

Delquan's Story

My name is Delquan I am 25 years old and I was diagnosed with foot drop in 2021. It all started on August 27th, a day that I will never forget. I got to play one last drive of football, but on my second drive in the game is where my career ended and my soon to be foot drop journey started.

We are MS Warriors!

My friends and I are part of a dynamic team called Run A Myelin My Shoes. We are a group of athletes who live with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). We use exercise as one of our tools to stay strong so we can fight through the daily challenges of MS.

Nicki’s Story

My name is Nicki, I am 42 & I have a left-sided foot drop. On 16th May 2013, I woke to find that I could not move my leg from the knee & that my foot was drooping. I had a disc prolapse & that had compressed the sciatic nerve and I want to make people aware of this this type of nerve injury.
